Framework vs. CMS

Abstract A CMS is good if you have many people working on a large number of websites and if you need highly sophisticated workflows. For most of the minor or middle sized websites this is not what you need. If you decide for individual development based on a framework the result will be exactly what you want and with a much better performance. On the other hand, professional Content Management Systems are very expensive in the first investment and in the long run. In many cases, development based on free software is the better choice in respect to the balance of individual customization, performance and costs.
